22. April 2023, wir sind wieder in den USA zurück.Unser Fahrzeug steht bei Phil und Laura auf einer Weinfarm südlich von Los Angeles. Lieben Dank an euch.
Wir verstauen unser Gepäck, bauen ein paar Ersatzteile ein und genießen die milden Temperaturen in Kalifornien. Im Garten blühen die Mohnblumen so schön, dass wir beschließen auf unserem Weg nach San Francisco, beim Antelope Poppy Reserve, vorbei zu fahren.
April 22, 2023, we are back in the US. Our rig is parked at Phil and Laura's vineyard south of Los Angeles. Many thanks to the two of you.
We stow away our luggage, install some spare parts and enjoy the pleasant temperatures in California. The poppies in the garden bloom so beautiful - we decide to pass by the Antelope Poppy Reserve on our way to San Francisco.
Zur Blütezeit sind diese Hänge von leuchtenden orangen Mohnblumen überzogen. In Kalifornien hat es dieses Jahr viel geregnet - wir sind zuversichtlich eine super Blüte zu erleben. Weit gefehlt, wir sind zwei Wochen zu spät - wir finden nur noch vereinzelte Mohnblumen vor.
During full bloom these hills are covered with colorful orange poppies. California got a lot of precipitation this year - we are pretty confident to experience a super bloom this time. Well, to the contary, we are two weeks late - we only find some scattered poppies left.
Auf unserem weiteren Weg liegt noch der Pinnacles National Park. Unsere Wanderschuhe wollen auch mal wieder raus! Wir erkunden den Park und seine markanten Felsformationen.
Pinnacles NP will be next on our road ahead, Our hiking boots would love to get "running" again. We explore the park with its prominent rock formations.
In der Bay Area angekommen, erhält unser Fahrzeug einen "Face Lift". Es hat über die Jahre die ein oder andere Schramme angesammelt, die wir mit weiteren tollen Tierfotos versuchen zu kaschieren. Der kleine Affe ist unser Liebling!
We reach the Bay Area, and our vehicle gets a face lift. Over the years it accumulated the one or the other scratch, which we decided to conceal with further animal pictures. The little monkey is our favorite!
Auch die Golden Gate Bridge, das Wahrzeichen von San Francisco, zeigt sich vor blauem Himmel von ihrer schönen Seite.

Der eigentliche Grund für unseren Aufenthalt in der Bay Area, ist die Hochzeit unseres Sohnes Tim mit Anja.
The real reason why we are in Bay Area is the wedding of our son Tim with Anja.
Anschließend unternehmen wir einen kurzen "Road Trip" mit der angereisten Familie.
Wir fliegen nach Las Vegas, mieten zwei Camper und fahren über den Hoover Damm....
After the wedding, we go on a short road trip with the family.
We fly to Las Vegas, rent two camper vans and drive via the Hoover Dam...
